How BEST helped:

I began working with Luca in May 2024 before his upcoming end of year Maths exam. The goal was to support him through this exam and then through the following year with his National 5 Core Maths. Luca was predicted a much lower grade than he would have liked for the test and ended up passing with over 90%.

Luca has online lessons once a week over the course of the school year, which will increase to 2 hours weekly during exam season. I have begun creating study packs, top tip sheets and mind maps for his upcoming mocks in November.

Angus

Higher Maths

I began working with Angus in November 2024 after he had sat his mocks in December 2023. The goal was to support him with his Higher Maths. Angus was achieving less than he wanted in regular end of topic tests which quickly changed over the course of our time working together.

James

Primary Maths & Literacy

I began working with James during August 2023, these lessons were once a week to support his learning around numeracy and literacy. Lessons are hour long and broken into 4 activities each, a numeracy activity, a reading activity, a spelling activity and a grammar/writing activity.

Conor

GCSE Maths & IGCSE Biology

I began working with Conor in August 2024, Conor is an international student who lives in Greece. Lessons are planned around the time difference. Conor is sitting his IGCSE’s this year and I support him with both his IGCSE Maths and IGCSE Biology.
