How BEST helped:

I began working with Rosie in October 2024. The goal was to support her with her National 5 Core Maths and Biology. Rosie was told by the school she should not sit Biology in either Nat 4 or Nat 5 capacity as she would not pass. I began communicating with the school regularly on Rosie’s behalf to make a plan as to how we can best support her with her studies and any written elements prior to her exam. On behalf of Rosie’s parents I also wrote a letter to the school explaining the work Rosie had completed and made the case as to why she should be allowed to sit the exam. Rosie had a mixture of in person and online lessons twice a week over the course of 4 months, increasing this to 2 hours weekly during exam season. I created multiple study packs, and often also provided support for other subjects such as maths and english, when required to help keep her on track. In June 2024 Rosie achieved an A in her Nat 5 English, a C in her Nat 5 Maths and was able to achieve a C in National 5 Biology, allowing her to go on and complete the HND at college that she wanted in Horse Care.
